Joe started his BJJ journey in 1995 in Cerritos, Ca under Francisco ” Chico ” Bueno. Then he trained at The Ultimate Training Center in Huntington Beach, Ca under Fabiano Iha/Waldamiro ” Junior ” Perez. After five years there, he continued his training at C-Quence in Norco under John Munoz. Joe moved to Big Bear Lake in 2016 and was a founding member of the Big Bear Grappling Club. Joe received his Black Belt from Renato Magno in December of 2018.
